The Premise

A big, corporate retail chain has decided to clearcut your town's beautiful neighboring forest and move in! The only one way to raise enough money to stop them is by asking people on the streets for money, also known as Canvassing.

As a street canvasser, you need to make the people you talk to care about the forest and trust in you, so they might spare their wallet for your cause. Every moment you must make decisions to further persuade your civilian, or determine if they are even worth talking to. Because if you don't raise enough money in time, your mystical, animal-filled forest could be gone the next day.

The Game

Canvasser translates real life canvassing action into a tactical, menu-based game of persuasion. It marries gameplay and dialogue harmoniously into an entirely unique game system. At the moment, Canvasser is in pre-alpha, and exists in an arcade-y state. The base mechanics are complete, but the scope is small. That's why I'm putting the game on Kickstarter! With your help, I can hire a few trusted people and we can make this big.
